Job Requirements and Responsibilities

1. Follow duty patterns as advised, including shift duties.
2. Responsible for maintaining the AME license currently.
3. Be aware of and comply with his/her safety responsibilities and accountability as laid down in the airline’s SMS Manual, Chapter Safety Policy and Objectives.
4. Undergo all training / refreshers as desired by the company.

Additional Job Requirements

1. Keep yourself updated with day-to-day troubleshooting / certification of aircraft components & systems.
2. Monitor aircraft movements and ensure high technical dispatch.
3. Guide technicians on maintenance activity and ensure quality & safety.
4. Mentor your colleagues from time to time; follow all instructions given in MOE, TPM and other aircraft publications & instructions issued from time to time.
5. Should be in full uniform & presentable as per company guidelines at all times while on duty.
6. Ensure implementation of Safety Policy and safety management system within the airline engineering division.
7. Other duties as assigned by Manager Line Maintenance.
8. Check for points on documentation.

● Rated B2 (Avionics): Full Scope certifying experience on A320/A321 or ATR72

Job Requirements and Responsibilities

1. The Fleet Engineer must ensure that his AME License/Authorization is current and valid for the type of aircraft/engine/systems to be certified by him.
2. Carry out the inspection and certification of work pertaining to the maintenance of airframe and power plant systems and components within the scope of his License/Authorization.
3. Ensure that all work performed in connection with maintenance is in accordance with manufacturer requirements/recommendations.
4. Ensure that approved methods, tooling, procedures and materials are used in carrying out the said work.
5. Ensure all work orders and inspection schedules are properly completed & certified before issuing CRSs.
6. Ensure snags observed during inspections and those reported by the flight crew are rectified using approved methods. Major defects and rectifications must be promptly reported and addressed.
7. Ensure that all tools and equipment used during maintenance are calibrated, serviceable and not mishandled.
8. Ensure that only approved materials and parts are used, and approved spares have proper documentation and certification before installation.
9. Ensure that during handling of panels/liners, tools and servicing of aircraft/components, all safety precautions are followed.
10. Report to MCC/Shift-Incharge whenever any defect is reported by the flight crew or observed.
11. Mentor technicians and ensure they have read the OAN, GIC and other technical instructions as issued.
12. Maintain discipline and a clean working environment.
13. Be in full uniform & presentable as per company guidelines at all times while on duty.
14. Ensure implementation of Safety Policy and the safety management system within the airline engineering.
15. Guide AMEs & Technicians and act as Shift-in-Charge in absence of SIC.
16. Ensure that the station/shift is adequately equipped with required manpower as per station approval.
17. Perform other duties as assigned by Manager Line Maintenance.

Role Overview:

The Associate Director will oversee and drive the strategic and operational management of cargo handling for both domestic and international operations in the North India region. This role requires a strong leader with proven analytical and managerial expertise to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth in cargo handling efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Planning
● Develop and implement strategic plans for optimizing domestic and international cargo
handling across North India.
● Collaborate with senior leadership to set performance targets and growth objectives.
● Drive regional alignment with global and national cargo handling strategies.

2. Operational Management
● Oversee end-to-end cargo handling operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
● Implement process improvements to reduce dwell time and enhance throughput capacity.
● Monitor performance metrics and take corrective action where required.

3. Compliance & Quality Assurance
● Ensure compliance with DGCA, BCAS, customs, and other regulatory authorities’
requirements.
● Maintain adherence to international safety and quality standards for cargo handling.
● Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain operational integrity.

4. Stakeholder & Client Management
● Build and maintain strong relationships with lines, freight forwarders, regulatory bodies, and ground handling partners.
● Resolve escalated client issues promptly while ensuring service level agreements are met.
● Represent the organization at industry forums, trade bodies, and key business meetings.

5. People & Leadership
● Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of managers, supervisors, and frontline staff.
● Develop talent pipelines and succession plans for key operational roles.
● Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: MBA from a reputed B-School (Operations, Supply Chain, or General
Management preferred).
Experience: Minimum 10–15 years in cargo handling/logistics/aviation operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Technical Skills:

● Strong understanding of domestic & international cargo operations, regulations, and best practices.
● Proficiency in data analytics tools, KPI monitoring, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

● Oversee cargo handling operations at the airport with a focus on international cargo movement.
● Ensure smooth processing, documentation, and cargo flow across all shifts.
● Maintain compliance with DGCA, BCAS, customs, and airline standards.
● Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and regulatory authorities.
● Monitor operational KPIs and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
● Lead, guide, and support frontline cargo teams during rotational shifts.
● Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce delays.

Experience & Education:

● 7–10 years of logistics/cargo operations experience.
● Mandatory experience in international cargo operations.

● Graduate degree; additional certifications in logistics/aviation are an advantage.
